High Surf Advisory issued August 01 at 10:33PM AKDT until August 04 at 7:00AM AKDT by NWS Fairbanks

…HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM SATURDAY TO 7 AM AKDT SUNDAY… * LOCATION…Along the coast. * TIMING…High surf is expected to develop Saturday morning and continue through Sunday morning. The highest surf is expected to be Saturday afternoon. * WAVE AND SURF…will wash to the top of the beach and cause beach erosion.
A warning is issued when a hazardous weather or hydrologic event is occurring, imminent or likely.
A watch is used when the risk of a hazardous weather or hydrologic event has increased significantly, but its occurrence, location or timing is still uncertain.
An advisory is issued when a hazardous weather or hydrologic event is occurring, imminent or likely.
