The Northwest Arctic Borough Economic Development Department has been hard at work organizing Lemonade Day for the Northwest Arctic Region. Lemonade Day will take place on June 23. We will have contests for all the young entrepreneurs and all participants can enter to win a bicycle! Our Lemonade Day meeting to collect supplies will be 5-7pm on Tuesday, June 19 at the NAB Assembly Chambers.
From the Lemonade Day website:
Lemonade Day is a fun, experiential program that teaches youth how to start, own and operate their very own business – a lemonade stand. Each year, in participating cities, youth have the opportunity to experience entrepreneurship by setting up their business during their city’s community-wide Lemonade Day.
In preparation, we asked superstar Lemonade Day entrepreneurs Savanna Wilson and Roman Barr to join us on KOTZ Radio where they talked about their experience hosting lemonade stands and what to expect this year.
Thanks to our guests and our NAB Interns for all their hard work! If you’d like to register for Lemonade Day or have any questions, please contact Chloe Naylor at 442-2500 or cnaylor@nwabor.org.
