The Northwest
Arctic Borough Public Services Department is comprised of Bobby
Schaeffer-Public Services Director, Glenn Skin-Public
Services Deputy Director, Hiram Walker-Search and Rescue
Coordinator; Archie Ferguson-Public Services Coordinator, Enoch
Adams-Kivalina Project Coordinator and Andrea Croll,-DMV Clerk/Receptionist. The Department provides
assistance to the eleven communities of the Northwest Arctic
Borough in the areas of public infrastructure development,
maintenance, and operations; village project development and
implementation; public safety; and emergency planning and
management. Currently, the Department is involved in providing
coordination services to the Northwest Arctic Local Emergency
Planning Committee (NALEPC), the Northwest Arctic Borough Public
Safety Commission, and the newly established Northwest Arctic
Borough Community Law Enforcement Task Force. Other projects
include the Buckland Water and Sewer Project, the Kivalina
Relocation Project, West Selawik Consolidated Tank Farm Project,
and the Noatak Cemetery Road Project.
