      Meeting

The Northwest Arctic Borough Assembly met and held a Special meeting on October  11, 2004.  Assembly President Suzy Erlich called the meeting to order at 1:03 P.M.  A quorum was present to conduct business.

The Assembly took the following actions:

The Assembly passed the following Resolutions:

1.         Passed Resolution 04-33        a resolution of the Northwest Arctic Borough Assembly authorizing set wages and ratifying the appointment of the election judges, clerks, and canvass committee for the 2004 General Election to be held on October 5, 2004.

2.         Passed  Resolution 04-34        a resolution of the Northwest Arctic Borough Assembly certifying the October 5, 2004 general election results.

3.         Passed Resolution 04-35            a resolution of the Northwest Arctic Borough Assembly authorizing a Professional Services agreement with Baker Professional Services and for related purposes.

3.         Resolution 04-36        a resolution of the northwest arctic borough approving the Ardor Work Plan for State Fiscal Year (FY) 2005 and authorizing receipt of a state grant in the amount of $45,784 to develop and implement a regional economic development strategy.

 4.            Assembly Reorganization – Assemblyman Larry Westlake was voted as President of the Assembly.  The Vice-President will be voted on during the November 23, 2004 meeting of the Assembly.
