 The Northwest Arctic Borough Assembly met and held a Regular meeting on March 23, 2004.  Assembly President Suzy Erlich called the meeting to order at 1:03 P.M.  A quorum was present to conduct business.

 The Assembly took the following actions:

1.  Passed Resolution 04-07   a resolution of the Northwest Arctic Borough Assembly authorizing approval of an right of entry and land use permit to UIC Construction LLC for use of borough property and for related purposes.

2.  Enacted Ordinance 03-06am03 an  ordinance  of  the  Northwest  arctic borough assembly providing for the establishment and adoption of the line item budget amendment for the fiscal year 2004.

3.Enacted Ordinance 04-01   an ordinance of the Northwest Arctic Borough Assembly reorganizing the economic development commission and for related purposes.

The Assembly introduced and passed the following Ordinance for the first reading:

            4.       Ordinance 04-07  an ordinance of the Northwest Arctic

Borough Assembly establishing standards for disposal of refuse, human body waste and chemicals.

 5.                        Appointed Ron Moto to the Northwest Arctic Borough Assembly District

4 Seat F, to be sworn in at the next Regular meeting on April 20, 2004.

The next regular Assembly meeting will be on April 19-20, 2004, with committee meetings held on April 19 at 1:00 P.M. and the Work session and Regular meetings held on April 20 at 9:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M. at the Borough Assembly Chambers in Kotzebue, Alaska.
