Helena Hildreth, Borough Clerk
The Borough Clerk's duties include recording monthly meetings of the borough assembly, preparing meeting packets, and making travel arrangements for assembly members to attend meetings. The Clerk is responsible for maintaining an indexed file for inspection by the public. This indexed file contains municipal ordinances, resolutions, rules, regulations, and codes. The Borough Clerk attests deeds and other documents and has the power to administer oaths required by law and is the custodian of the Borough seal and official records of the Borough. The Borough Clerk is also responsible for the supervision of all Borough Municipal elections.

Angela Joule, Deputy Borough Clerk
The Deputy Borough Clerk's duties include recording monthly committee meeting minutes, planning commission minutes, Economic Development Commission minutes, and Local Emergency Planning Committee minutes. The Deputy Borough Clerk serves as an assistant to the Borough Clerk and, by memorandum of agreement, acts as the secretary to the LEPC. Other duties of the Deputy Borough Clerk include preparing travel and hotel arrangements, drafting check requests, preparing agendas, and compiling and distributing Assembly meeting packets. The same duties apply to the Deputy Borough Clerk as they do to the Borough Clerk, such as providing public requests for information or inspection of records, files, ordinances, resolutions, regulations, and other public information.

Northwest Arctic Borough elections will be held on October 2, 2007. Nominating petitions may be submitted from June 5, 2007 through August 17, 2007 for the following seats:
