Mable Berry
Selawik’s Mabel Berry is a seamstress and mask maker extraordinaire. Her caribou skin creations are the end result of countless hours of preparing the hide, soaking it, stretching it over a carved wooden mold, and then decorating the dried, formed “face”. The stunning “sunshine” ruffs are made using both beaver and wolf. The hair and eyebrows are from the caribou.
