Lee creates sculptures from non-traditional
mediums including caribou and moose antlers and wooly mammoth
bones and tusks as a means of introducing new forms of art to
the people of the Northwest Arctic Region. His work is heavily
influenced by Russian Native carvers, particularly Sasha
Anetegan of Lavrentia, who served as a guest instructor to the
Borough in 2002. Lee's caribou antler geese and swans are unique
to the art world. |
